Remembering Pinochet

Sophia Li '11.5 has returned to Brown from her semester-long internship at the newly inaugurated "Memory and Human Rights Museum" in Santiago, Chile. While in Chile, as an AT&T New Media Fellow blogging on the new Memoria Viva conversation, Li produced a short documentary about a small, subversive yet revolutionary theater group that surfaced during the Pinochet dictatorship (1973-1990). The intimate group of friends called themselves "Teatro Familiar De Barrio" and you can tune-in to their story here.

Sophia is one of eight AT&T New Media Fellows recently returned from the field after winter break -- from Africa, the Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and South Asia -- and we have been introducing each of them and each of their global issues day by day.
