Arabic Lessons in Egypt

This fall semester, I'll be participating in Middlebury's immersive Arabic program in Alexandria, Egypt. In my five months in Egypt, I hope to learn and write about a wide range of topics: Egypt's burgeoning democracy, local perspectives on the U.S. presidential election, Arab notions of gender and sexuality and the typical cultural encounters of a college student abroad.
