Becca Wolinsky and Jesse McGleughlin

Becca Wolinsky:

Hi! I'm a rising junior at Brown University from Houston, TX.  At Brown, I am concentrating in Africana Studies and Community Health.  In addition to some other things, I tutor Samson, a five year old boy from Eritrea, through an organization of campus called BRYTE, the Brown Refugee Youth Tutoring and Enrichment organization.  I first started working with refugees in high school, in which I ran two refugee after school programs, and when I came to Brown, I knew I wanted to do BRYTE.  This summer, I am co- coordinating BRYTE's second ever summer camp with Jesse, and I couldn't be happier doing it!

Jesse McGlueghlin:

Hi-I'm also a rising junior at Brown University, and I'm from Cambridge, MA. At Brown, I concentrate in Africana Studies! I take taken many creative non-fiction classes in the English department as well. I am a BRYTE Coordinator in the school year. As coordinators, we oversee 125 Brown University tutors who work one-on-one with refugee youth and their families. Last summer, I directed The Cambridge Youth Enrichment Camp, an academic enrichment program for low-income Cambridge youth. My experience working to combat summer learning loss and build leadership structures propelled me to co-coordinate BRYTE Summer Camp!
