I am currently working as a Visiting Researcher at CIAT (Centro Internacional de Agricultura Tropical) in Cali, Colombia. I am working in the Decision and Policy Analysis department in the Markets program. Our goal is to create more sustainable linkages between smallholders and national and international markets. I graduated from Brown with Honors in Development Studies in May 2010. I wrote my senior thesis on the opportunities and constraints facing solar energy as a means to eliminate energy poverty and drive social development in rural areas of Chile and Colombia. I am interested in how renewable energies and ICT's can aid in rural economic and social development.
